Syed rashad imam tanmoy is the editorial cartoonist for dhaka tribune–national english daily. he also works as an assistant editor of unmad- the monthly satire magazine, one of its kind in bangladesh and the longest running satire magazine of the region. apart from newspaper and magazines, tanmoy passionately works with comic books and children book illustration. his comic book ‘back benchers' club’ is been a popular name in the comics’ community of bangladesh that has won the hearts of many. he has exhibited his works in nepal, iran and uk. his award list includes awards from bangladesh, nepal and iran. tanmoy is one of the founding members of bangladesh cartoonist association and his dream is to create a standard comic book industry in bangladesh which will explore and produce high quality comic books and graphic novel based on local context. |
